Biography
1958 - graduated from MGIMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR (with honors)
From 1959 to 2001 he was in the diplomatic service.
1959-1961 - Employee of the Embassy of the USSR in Belgium .
1961-1967 - worked in the central apparatus of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR.
1967-1972 - Advisor to the Embassy of the USSR in Italy .
1972-1975 - worked in the central apparatus of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR.
1975-1978 - Advisor and Envoy of the Embassy of the USSR in Italy.
1978-1982 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USSR to the Gabon Republic .
1982-1986 - Deputy Chairman - Executive Secretary of the USSR Commission for UNESCO , member of the Executive Council of UNESCO.
1986-1991 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USSR to Ireland .
