Parkovoye village is located 8.5 km west of the village of Simeiz , divided into two parts by the “South Coastal Highway” - the highway N-19 Sevastopol - Yalta . In the northern part there is an old settlement, and in the lower - a seaside resort area. The area of the village is 144.29 ha, the height of the center of the urban settlement above sea level is 326 m [15] .

At the end of the 19th century, the lands in the district of the village of Kuchuk-Koy belonged to the merchant Rasteryaev of St. Petersburg and at the turn of the century were sold in three parts. Closest to the sea, in 1901, financier and artist Yakov Evgenievich Zhukovsky acquired - this is how the estate New Kuchuk-Koy appeared [16] . In the Statistical Directory of the Tauride Province. Part II. The statistical essay, issue of the eighth Yalta district, 1915 in the Derekoy volost of the Yalta district "New Kuchuk-Koy" is recorded as the nameless summer residence of Y. E. Zhukovsky in the village of Kuchuk-Koy [17] . According to the All-Union Census of 1939, 91 people lived in the village [18] .

The park is named after the park ensemble located in the former estate of Jacob Zhukovsky. The house was built in 1905 according to the plan of B. Sergeyev with the participation of architect A. Pomerantseva. The park occupies 6 hectares, it is decorated with sculptures by A. Matveev : “Awakening” (1907), “Sleeping Boy” (1908), “Bather” (1910-1911), “Thought” (1906), “Dressing Stocking” (1911) , Pensive Boy, Sleeping Boys (1907), Sitting Boy (1909). A copy of the last sculpture is installed on the grave of A. Matveev at the Novodevichy cemetery .

The time of assigning the name Parkovoye to the former estate has not yet been established, it is known that in 1968 the village simply existed [19] , and in 1971, after the annexation of the village of Beketovo , it was given the status of urban settlement.

During the Great Patriotic War, almost all the sculptures died. Only some fragments of the originals were preserved in the Russian Museum ( St. Petersburg ). According to them, as well as copies, in the 1960s. the sculptor’s students restored the work of their teacher.

On the site of the estates of Zhukovsky and Karpov in Soviet times, the resort complex of the Kryvyi Rih miner boarding house was built. In the village there are also a sanatorium of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, a boarding house "Slavutich" and a boarding house "Tavrida Plaza".
