In royal service
He entered the service on October 11, 1889 . He graduated from the Irkutsk Infantry Junker School on September 1, 1893, and a khorunzhim was enrolled in the 1st cavalry regiment of the Transbaikal Cossack army. He participated in the suppression of the uprising in China ( 1900 - 1901 ). Veteran of the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905 , where on January 14, 1905 he was awarded the title of Esaul for military distinctions. He took an active part in the First World War . December 6, 1913 he was awarded the rank of colonel. In 1917, he was the commander of the 3rd Trans-Baikal Cossack Brigade, and from June 3, 1917, Major General.

In 1918, he supported the rise to power of the ataman G. M. Semenov in the Trans-Baikal Republic .
From September 14, 1918 to December 1918, the Head of the Trans-Baikal (later 1st Trans-Baikal) Cossack Division (September 14, 1918 - January 1919), the military garrison of the city of Chita (from September 27, 1918) and the 1st military district as part of 5th Amur Corps (from October 19, 1918). Emigration
Since November 1920 , an emigrant. Chairman of the Dairen Bureau for Russian Emigrants, ataman of the Dairen village. Arrested on October 31, 1945 in Dairen , deported to the USSR . By a special meeting at the Ministry of State Security of the USSR of November 30, 1946, at the age of 75, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison, kept in Vladimir prison, where he died.
