Patrice Fontanarosa ( French Patrice Fontanarosa ; born September 4, 1942 , Paris ) is a French violinist . The son of the artist Lucien Fontanarosa . His mother was also an artist, and his brother Reno and sister Frederic were respectively cellists and pianists, and for more than 20 years they performed with Patrice as part of a family trio. Married to harpist Mariel Nordman .

He graduated from the Paris Conservatoire ( 1959 ), where his teachers were Lin Talluel , Pierre Pascier and Joseph Calvet . He worked in the orchestra of the Paris Opera, played the first violin in the orchestra " Virtuosos of Rome " and the French National Orchestra ( 1976 - 1985 ). Fontanarose brought special fame to concert programs with an element of the show:

he was the first in France ten years ago to direct a classical program. “Took” the composers of charm (in his own words) Sarasate , Paganini , Wieniawski , “picked up” the cast of each, thought out the ceremony for the artists to come out, found their own lighting design for each number ... [1]
