Natalie Anne Coughlin ( born Natalie Anne Coughlin , August 23, 1982 , Vallejo , California , USA ) - American swimmer , three-time Olympic champion, 10-time world champion (8 times in a 50-meter pool and twice in the 25-meter), multiple world record holder.

At the 2004 Olympics in Athens, 21-year-old Coglin from August 14 to 21 won five Olympic awards - 2 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze. At the same time, she set 1 Olympic record, 1 world record (as part of the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay) and 1 US record.

At the 2008 Olympics in Beijing , she was elected co-captain of the US women's swimming team (along with 4-time Olympic champion Dara Torres and two-time Olympic champion Amanda Bird ). From Beijing, Natalie took away one gold (100 meters on the back), two silver and three bronzes.

In April 2009, Coglin married Ethan Hall, Crow Canyon Sharks swimming coach. October 16, 2018 they had a daughter - Zenny May Hall [2] .

At her third Olympics in 2012 in London, Natalie was limited to only bronze in the relay of 4 100 m freestyle.

  • On August 13, 2008, she owned 3 world records:
    • 100 meters on the back in “short water” - 56.51 seconds (from October 28, 2007)
    • 100 meters with integrated swimming in “short water” (from November 3, 2002)
    • 4x200m freestyle relay race (from March 29, 2007, as part of the US team)
  • Previously held the world record in the following distances:
    • 100 meters on her back in the “long water” (in total she set a record 5 times; lost the record to the Zimbabwean Kirsty Coventry at the Beijing Olympics in the preliminary race, but won the gold in the final, without setting a new record)
    • 100 m butterfly on “short water” (from November 22, 2002 to August 28, 2006)
