Beijing Tram is the collective name of two tram systems operating in Beijing at different time periods, and a retro-system operating at the present time.

History
Beijing's first tram system was opened on June 24, 1899 . An electric tram line a little over three kilometers long (two miles) connected the whale train station . Exercise 堡家堡 , Pinyin : Mājiāpù (the current South Beijing Railway Station ) with the South Gate of the city walls ( . ). This system did not last long, it ceased to function during the Boxer Uprising in 1900 and was not restored.
The second Beijing tram system opened on December 14, 1924 and lasted until May 6, 1966 . In the thirties, the length of the system reached 40 km, 64 trams were used on it.
The third system opened in 2008 for the Olympics. The system works using the battery principle and is designed for tourists.
