The Fedor Gaus medal is a departmental medal of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia [1] , established by order No. 25 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia dated February 28, 2005 .

Awarding Rules
According to the Regulations, the Fyodor Haas medal is awarded to:
- employees serving the federal civil service, employees of institutions and bodies of the Federal Penitentiary Service, having a service (work) experience in calendar terms of 5 or more years in the penitentiary system;
- Citizens of the Russian Federation and foreign citizens.
Awarding a medal is made for:
- a major contribution to the development and improvement of the penitentiary health system;
- the achievement of high results of treatment-and-prophylactic assistance to persons held in institutions of the penitentiary system;
- organizing and carrying out effective measures to ensure the sanitary and anti-epidemic well-being of persons held in institutions of the penitentiary system;
- personal contribution to the development of medical science and education, training of qualified medical personnel for the penitentiary system;
- strengthening international cooperation in the field of penitentiary medicine in Russia.
Re-awarding the medal is not performed.
Wearing rules
The medal is worn on the left side of the chest and is located after the medal "For diligence in service" II degree.
Medal Description
The medal is made of nickel silver and has the shape of a regular circle with a diameter of 32 mm. On the obverse of the medal there is a busty image of F. P. Haas. At the top of the medal - the inscription "Fedor Haaz" , at the bottom - the numbers "1780-1853" . On the reverse side of the medal, in the center, is the inscription "For the contribution to the development of penitentiary medicine in Russia . " All images and inscriptions on the medals are convex. The edges of the medal are bordered by a side.
The medal is connected with a lug and a ring with a pentagonal pad, covered with 24 mm wide white silk moire ribbon with one blue strip in the middle of the ribbon 7 mm wide and red stripes along the edges of the ribbon 1.5 mm wide each, 1 mm from the edge of the ribbon. A medal pad with a pin is attached to the garment.

For twenty years, Haaz has sought to replace the heavy pads with light ones, so that their legs would not break their blood on the Vladimir road. And so - today they established a medal named after Dr. Haas for doctors from this glorious prison system, and they give it to the best prison doctors. I cannot say anything about others, but to that doctor who was directly responsible for the death of Sergei Magnitsky ... he was given this medal. Gaza thus privatized!
