Abant [1] ( tour. Abant Gölü ) - a lake in Turkey , located north of the mountain range of the same name Abant-Silsilesi [1] , 32 kilometers from the city of Bolu , at an altitude of 1325 meters above sea level. Its surface area is about 1.25 km² [2] . It has a landslide origin, feeds on underground sources. The greatest depth is 18 meters. The Abant River [1] , which belongs to the basin of the river ( Tur . Devrek ayı ), the left tributary of the river ( . Filyos Çayı ) flows from the north side of the lake.

The lake is located on the territory of the eponymous natural park with an area of 1200 hectares. The park is characterized by biodiversity and is a popular holiday destination. On its territory, 1221 species of animals and plants were noted, of which at least 60 are endemic . Endemic species include fifty flora representatives, salmon species - , one rat subspecies, three species of invertebrates [3] .
