The SamArt Theater for Young Spectators is a theater in Samara , founded as a regional youth theater in 1930 .

Content
History
The theater was formed as a regional youth theater in 1930. The first performance was “Aul Gidzhe” based on the play by Nikolai Shestakov directed by Boris Smirnov. Until 1937, the theater was part of the public education system, and in 1937 it was subordinated to the Kuibyshev Department of Arts and took a place among professional groups in the Kuibyshev region. With the outbreak of war, in June 1941 the theater ceased to exist.
On August 27, 1942, a letter from the Volzhskaya Kommuna newspaper appeared in a letter from a group of prominent Kuybyshev scientists and teachers of the pedagogical institute “Youth must be.” The executive committee of the Kuibyshev Regional Council issued a decree: to open the Youth Theater in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Great October Revolution. Despite this, the rebirth of the theater took place only on June 1, 1943 [1] .
In 1977 , the play “Interrogation” by S. Rodionov opened the Small Stage.
In 1994 , SamArt, together with the regional department of culture and the Samara branch of the Union of Theater Workers of Russia , initiated the First Volga Festival of Children's Theaters, which later became the Golden Turnip All-Russian Festival and Laboratory of Theater for Children and Youth [2] .
The composer and pianist Leonid Vokhmyanin , the author of the music of the anthem of the Samara region (2006) collaborated with the theater.
The theater has repeatedly participated in various national and international theater festivals [3] . During the work at the theater’s performances were visited by more than 9 million spectators of different generations [4] .

Building Reconstruction
In 2000, the governor of the Samara region Konstantin Titov and the regional department of culture decided to reconstruct the building of the SamArt theater.
The construction of the theater quarter is underway on Artsybushevskaya Street. / Br. Korostelevskikh / st. Leo Tolstoy . The authors of the project are Vladimir Zhukov and Anatoly Barannikov [6] .
The first stage includes two auditoriums with 200 and 100 seats, a spectator foyer. The second stage includes social housing, workshops, make-up rooms, rehearsal rooms.
- The residential complex of the theater of social orientation occupies five floors, for accommodation, work and recreation of actors.
- 1st floor - theatrical lounge.
- 2nd floor - a two-level cafe, a fireplace room and a theater lounge.
- 3-4-5th floors - living rooms and a make-up room for two people with lounge areas, rooms for vocals and choreography .
- Attic - premises for staff.
- Basement - a sports complex [7] .
The third stage includes a large auditorium-transformer for 500 seats.
