About the album

The album was originally supposed to be called Cousteau on the beach [1] , but later the name was changed, as according to Cousteau public beaches harm the environment. The name En attendant Cousteau is the beat of the title of En attendant Godot's play by Samuel Becket .

Waiting for Cousteau is notable for its ambient bias, a 47-minute title track is written in this genre. On a vinyl record, it was cropped in the 20th minute, due to lack of space. Due to the significant difference from other albums in style (in particular, the title track, which was called innovative) [2] , critics recognized him as one of the composer's greatest works.

The track “En attendant Cousteau” is used as musical accompaniment for the documentary “Palawan: The Last Bastion”.
