Fold

A seam is a seam used when joining sheets of metal roofing .

There are folded joints lying and standing, single and double. The lateral long edges of steel strips running along the ramp are connected by standing folds, and horizontal by lying folds. The folds are performed (rolled up) either manually with a special tool, or in a modern way - with special electromechanical rolling devices.

Types of folds: single lying; lying double; single standing; standing double.

In printing, the fold is the place where the fold of the printed sheet is called.

In woodworking, the rebate is a rectangular selection at the edge of the board. Sometimes the word “fold” is also used to denote a tongue .
