Sahaj Marg (translated from Hindi - "Simple, natural way" ) - a form of Raja Yoga , a system of meditation on the heart . A unique feature of Sahaj Marg is the art of yogic Transmission, also called Pranahuti , for transforming a person. Pranahuti - from prana ( life ) and ahuti ( sentence ) - is the offering or transmission of Divine energy for the transformation of a human being. The great ancient sages used this power for the spiritual ascent of people. The second unique feature is the purification of impressions (the so-called samskar ).

Theory
Sahaj Marg is a simple path because it simply and naturally combines physical and mental activity with the spiritual needs of a person without any pressure or coercion. Daily life with the requirements imposed by the family, relationships and work, is considered the best condition for spiritual development. Sahaj Marg is an ancient Raja Yoga , modified and simplified to fit the lifestyle of a modern person and help him achieve inner perfection. Here the trainee is immediately introduced to meditation , bypassing the preliminary stages mentioned above; this becomes possible with the spiritual support of the Master. Moreover, in Sahaj Marg samadhi is not the ultimate goal, the real goal is union with the Divine.
When God created us, we were very similar to Him and were with Him, but in the process of evolution we developed a sense of a separate personality, known as “ego”, forgot about our home and pursue lower goals in this life. To return to that state again and become what we were at the moment of creation: with souls - truly Divine - you need to translate your gaze from the outside to the inside and find the Divine that lives in our hearts. It is the true “I” and the awareness of the higher “I” is the realization of God in us.
As for learning any subjects, physics, chemistry, etc. you need a teacher, also so that people can successfully move towards the goal, avoiding the traps of ego and self-deception; For most human beings, it is impossible to achieve a goal by following what is written in the books. Only one who knows the path, and who has already reached the goal, can lead others on this difficult spiritual journey. The trainee must fully trust the Master or the Guru , renounce his ego and arrogance, and follow the goal with the support and guidance of the Master.

Meditation
Meditation means constantly holding attention or directing the mind to one thought. Spiritual Masters say that we become what we meditate on, that is, we acquire the property of that or the state of the object on which we meditate. Therefore, when we meditate on the Subtlest, that is, God, we lose our coarseness and acquire subtlety and thus become like Him. Only after this is it possible to merge with Him, which is the ultimate goal of life. For most people, it is difficult to meditate on the abstract, so in Sahaj Marg they meditate on the Divine Light in our heart - the subtlest thing that a person can accept for meditation without coarsening it with either form or name. By meditating, focusing our mind on one thing, we learn to regulate our thoughts. Continuous meditation practice develops a constant balanced state, a deep sense of connection with the Supreme in oneself and a constant goal and meaning of our life.
In Sahaj Marg they meditate on the heart, and not on other points. Meditating on the point between the eyebrows awakens shakti - the great universal infinite Divine energy, in which, according to Sahaj Marg, there is no need for spiritual growth. Similarly, meditation on the tip of the nose can awaken the siddhi - divine powers, such as clairvoyance, etc., which would also distract the trainee from the real goal and develop even more ego in him. All religious and mystical traditions say that God lives in the human heart. Therefore, He can be felt only by the heart. Moreover, the ability to love is always associated with the heart. Therefore, meditation awakens our dormant love for the Divine and quickly propels us towards the goal.
Masters Sahaj Marg indicate several reasons for meditating on the heart:
- The heart is the place where human existence begins and ends, where life pulsates and where it leaves our body at the time of death.
- The character of a person is determined by the qualities of his heart (kindhearted, with a stone heart, a man without a heart, a golden heart, etc.)
- At a biological level, the heart pumps blood to all organs of the body. Thus, the purification of the heart with the help of yoga will have the same effect on the entire body. Cleansing the heart also has a cleansing effect on other chakras (points) located below and above the heart center in the human body.
Purification
Evening cleansing is the process of getting rid of daily impressions or samskar that hinder our spiritual progress. According to Sahaj Marg, everything that we do and think leaves impressions ( samskaras ) in our mind and heart. Over the course of a lifetime, these samskars accumulate and deepen in the inclinations of the mind, and this in turn determines our behavior and impedes our spiritual growth. In Sahaj Marg it has been established that even if there is progress in meditation, but samskaras are not removed, they remain like seeds, which can sprout and flourish if an appropriate medium is created for them.
Prayer Meditation
Prayer is a call to the Most High, the Divine Master in your heart. As Babuji, the second Master Sahaj Marg, said, prayer is a petition, meditation is a receiving. Usually people use prayer, asking for material favors from God, but the prayer in Sahaj Marg is devoid of any prayer or request, and only prompts to surrender itself to the Divine.
Permanent Memory
Permanent memory is one aspect of deeper practice. Meditation, Purification and Prayer form the basis of the Sahaj Marg method. That which inspires life and feeling in him is the practice of constant remembrance of God, the Divine Master in all our daily activities. Some people think that a constant remembrance of God cannot be brought into a life filled with worries and worldly attachments and responsibilities, but practice and experience will show that a constant remembrance is in fact a simple process. As in many spiritual traditions, Sahaj Marg offers a way to stay connected with our Divine essence during the day, which helps to meet any situation calmly and calmly. When we continuously remember the Supreme in ourselves, we bring that peace, that power and concentration that we have achieved in meditation into our daily activities.
Satsang
Satsang or collective meditation takes place at least once a week in every Sahaj Marg center. In essence, this is the same meditation, but in which other trainees participate besides you. The more people gather, the stronger the effect of meditation. If one person is meditating - it looks like a candle flame, if 10 - it looks like a fire, if hundreds or thousands gather, then it is a fire.
Individual seating
Individual seating is a process of deeper cleansing. With daily cleansing, a trainee can remove only superficial impressions, while for individual seats with prefects (tutors) deep impressions, samskaras are removed.
