Colin Edwards ( born Colin Edwards II , born February 27, 1974 , in Houston , Texas , USA ) is an American motorcycle racer. Nickname - "Texas Tornado" ( English Texas Tornado ). Edwards is a two-time World Cup Superbike winner.

In the championship MotoGP took part from 2003 to 2014. Seven times finished the season in the top 10 overall standings, the best place was fourth in the 2005 season , when he played for the Yamaha Motor Racing factory team along with Valentino Rossi . Over the next two seasons at Yamaha, Edwards took seventh and ninth place, after which he left the factory team.
In 2012, Colin Edwards defended the honor of the NGM Mobile Forward Racing team (Switzerland), built on the basis of the Suter chassis and the BMW S1000RR engine in the debut season of MotoGP / CRT at number 5.
