Biography

Gianna Nannini was born in Siena on June 14, 1956, in the Goose contrade. Her father, Danilo Nannini, was a well-known industrial pastry chef and in various years headed the football club Siena Calcio . Gianna studies at the lyceum of science and at the music school in piano at the conservatory of the city of Lucca . Subsequently, she moved to Milan to devote herself to music. In Milan, she performs in various historical institutions, such as L'Osteria dell'Operetta, Le Scimmie, Il Rosso, and gets acquainted with blues musician Igor Campaner, who will work with her at concerts, and in 1988 he will work on many compositions for the album Malafemmina .

In 2015, Gianna Nannini sang the famous L'immensità song by Don Bucky , for the first time this song was performed at the international SanRemo festival more than 50 years ago. In 1972, Don Bucky collaborated with Sophia Rotaru to write the Ukrainian version of the Italian song L'immensità “Blue-winged bird”. And then it was repeated many times by Il Volo, Toto Cutugno, Mina, including Gianna Nannini, who also shot the video work.

In 1990, together with Edoardo Bennato, she sang the Un'estate italiana , the official anthem of the World Cup , then held in Italy.

Personal life

In August 2010, she stated that she was pregnant at 54 [1] . November 26 of the same year, she gave birth to a daughter Penelope in one of the clinics in Milan [2] .
