404th Infantry Division

Formed in September-October 1941 on the Transcaucasian Front in the framework of the implementation of the Decree of the State Defense Committee of the USSR No. 459ss of 08/11/1941 Website soldat.ru . After completion of the formation, it initially continued to be deployed in the Caucasus . The army entered the 01.12.1941.

As part of the Kerch-Feodosia landing operation (12/26/1941-02/01/1942), a unit in the Caucasus Front landed in the Crimea and subsequently operated there.

During the May offensive of the German 11th Army in Crimea (05/08/1942), the division was destroyed and officially disbanded on 06/14/1942.
