Content
Geography
The total land area is 145 thousand hectares , of which agricultural - 102 thousand hectares.
History
By the decree of the 4th session of DagCIC dated November 22, 1928, as a result of the reorganization of the former Darginsky , Kaitago-Tabasaransky and Laksky districts , the Urarinsky canton was formed with its center in the village of Urari. By the decree of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of June 3, 1929, the canton was transformed into a district. By the Decree of the Presidium of the CEC of the DASSR of April 19, 1930, the district was renamed Dakhadaevsky. 10/18/1930 the district center was moved to a. Urkarah. By the Decree of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR, dated 1.02.1963, the territory was transferred to the enlarged Kaytag rural region. By the Decree of the Supreme Court of the RSFSR of January 12, 1965, the district was restored to its former borders.

Economy
The economy of Dakhadaevsky district consists mainly of agriculture, cattle breeding and poultry farming, as well as in the production of jewelry. The industry of the district is represented by the enterprise of the State Unitary Enterprise KHK, which employs 523 people. The main type of products are jewelry. The total volume of output in 2010 amounted to 17,180 thousand rubles.
Attractions
On the territory of Dakhadaevsky district there is the famous fortress-village of Kala-Koreysh - the capital of Kaitag region , in the village of Dibgashi have cave paintings. There are also four signal towers (in v. Kubachi, v. Ittsari, v. Zubanchi, v. Kischa). In Dakhadaevsky district there are also villages famous for their blacksmith craftsmen. The village of Kharbuk, known as the village of gunsmiths-smiths, who worked the metal and made weapons and agricultural tools, was later called the village of Iron People, the village of Kubachi, famous for its jewelry and metal working.
In total, there are 420 monuments of cultural heritage in the district, including 8 monuments of federal and 308 republican significance.
