United artists records

United Artists Records is an American record label founded by Max E. Youngstein (from United Artists in 1958, originally to distribute soundtracks [1] [2] . The new company gained its first fame in 1959 when it released Forest of the Amazons ”, the cantata of the Brazilian composer Eitor Villa-Lobos , based on his own music for the film“ Green Mansions ” [3] .

In the 1960s, soundtracks for Beatle films as well as James Bond films were released on United Artists. The company had several branches: Ascot Records , Musicor Records , Unart Records, Veep Records .

In 1969, UA was merged with Liberty Records (and Imperial Records , a subsidiary of the latter), and in 1979, after going under the roof, EMI was renamed Liberty and as such existed until 1986.
