Sangozhi (Chinese 三国 志 pinyin sānguózhì) “The Three Kingdoms Records” are official historical chronicles of the Three Kingdoms period, covering the period from 189 to 280. Many episodes of the chronicle compiled the plot for the medieval novel Three Kingdoms .

Compiled at the end of the 3rd century by the Nanchong historian Chen Shaw (233–297), who describes events from the point of view of the Jin Empire. In the 5th century, the Sui historian Pei Songzhi provided Chen Shaw notes with valuable notes. Of great interest to Japanese historiography is that part of the Records , which describes the reign of the Japanese queen Himiko .
