Xu Nanahara

Shuya Nanahara ( Jap. 七 原 秋 ах Nanahara Shu : I ) - student number 15, the protagonist of the novel. Noriko Nakagawa

Noriko Nakagawa ( Japanese: 中 川 典 子 Nakagawa Noriko ) - student number 15, the central female character in the work. And his father and the famous doctor, who boasted of a successful operation, in turn, did not know that as a result of the introduction of a cotter pin, Kazuo's brain lost a whole section of nervous tissue. As a result, Kazuo has never experienced a single emotion. Sakamoti bet money on his victory in the Program. In the film, the role is played by Masanobu Ando . ^[5] In the film, his image is somewhat changed. Firstly, he is not a student, but a volunteer, playing for his pleasure. In addition, Kiriyama has no gang here. Secondly, the film shows that Kazuo is not alien to human feelings, but they are limited only to the sadistic pleasure of causing pain and suffering to other people. For the entire film, the hero Ando speaks only one word, and even then it is impossible to hear because of the interference in the speaker that he used. In the novel, Kazuo throws lots, according to which he either opposes the game or enters into it. The last option drops out. The first victims of Kazuo are the guys from his own gang.

Mitsuko Soma

Mitsuko Soma ( 相 馬光子 So: ma Mitsuko ) is student number 11, one of the main negative characters in the novel. The book repeatedly emphasizes its dazzling beauty - “the appearance of a pop idol,” and Mitsuko uses an angelic face to mislead the enemy, and then kill him in the back. Kosyun Takami called her his favorite female character and added that he was pleased with the created image. ^[1] In the film, she is played by Ko Shibasaki . ^[6]

Hiroki Sugimura

Hiroki Sugimura ( 杉 村 弘 树 Sugimura Hiroki ) is student number 11. Yoshitoki Kuninobu

Yoshitoki Kuninobu ( 国 信 慶 時 Kuninobu Yoshitoki ) is student number 7, Shui's best friend. Youji Kuramoto

Yuichiro Takiguchi

Yuichiro Takiguchi ( Japanese: 滝 口 優 一郎 Takiguchi Yu: itiro:) is student number 13. A naive and kind boy who received an aluminum baseball bat ( Smith & Wesson pistol in the manga).
