It bears the name of Ibrahim - the prophet of Allah , who raised the Kaaba in the Holy Mecca . He called people to faith in Allah the One, to whom alone creation and decision belong. In this Holy Surah, Ibrahim gives thanks to his Lord for His innumerable mercies. After all, He, the Most High, granted him, despite his advanced age , Ishmael and Ishaq . Ibrahim appeals to his Lord, asking Him to bring His blessing over the valley , where he settled some of his offspring at the Forbidden House, and incline people's hearts to them, and endow them with fruits so that they would thank Him for mercy, feeling in peace and safety .
The religion to which Ibrahim called people is the religion of monotheism , faith in Allah One. Musa called on her - and other messengers and prophets. The infidels abandoned this religion and subjected the messengers to various kinds of torment and deceit. But the messengers stubbornly endured, believing that the victory that Allah would grant them is close.
After all, Allah leads to the direct path of believers who know Him with their mind and heart and adhere to the truth. He will lead them into His Gardens of Paradise, and he will punish the infidels who persistently persisted in their unbelief with hellfire. A good word is like a good, useful tree , whose root has established itself in the earth, and the branches have soared high up to heaven [1] . It constantly brings blessed fruits by the will of His Lord. And a bad word is like a bad tree that does not benefit people; because he does not have a solid foundation and does not bear fruit that is useful to them. It is like a useless tree uprooted.
| Alif. Lamas. Ra. We sent the Scriptures to you, so that you could lead people from the permission of their Lord from the gloom to the light - on the path of the Mighty, Honorable Allah, to whom belongs all that is in heaven and on earth. Woe from grievous suffering to unbelievers, who prefer the secular life of the Last Life, lead others astray from the path of Allah and distort it. They are deeply mistaken. We sent messengers who spoke the language of their people to give them clarifications. Allah misleads whomever He wills, and leads in the direct way whomever He wills. He is the Mighty, the Wise. |
