Znesyenie ( Ukrainian. Znesinnya , means " Ascension ", Polish. Zniesienie ) - locality in Lviv ( Ukraine ), in Lychakivsky district, in the past - an ancient suburban village.
From the west, the Zneseny are adjacent to Pidzamche and Zamarstynov , from the south - the landscape park “Znesje” , which occupies a part of its territory, from the east - Krivchitsy , from the north - the valley of the Poltva river. A Soviet-era Lviv Distillery (2, Korduby Street) works on the territory of Znesyen, the Lychakivsky Branch of the State Traffic Inspectorate (Marunka St., 1) is located, and a glassworks also operated during the Soviet era. There is an old Znessen cemetery.
The battle of Zneseni in 1675 , in which the Polish king Jan III Sobieski defeated the Turks and the Crimean Tatars, in fact occurred east of the village of Znesnie, in the area of modern Lisinich [1] . In 1925, about 2,300 Poles , 2,000 Jews and 1,700 Rusyns ( Rus ) lived in Znesnye [1] . At that time there were many factories in the village, of which the most famous was the Bachevsky Distillery.

- Novoznesenskaya Street (since 1933 , in 1930–1933 - Yana III Sobieski Street as part of the village of Znesenie).
- Korduba Street (since 1992 in honor of the Ukrainian historian and writer Myron Korduba , in 1958–1992 Mayor Bugrov Street in honor of the Soviet soldier).

- Zaklinskikh, 18 - Monastery of the Sisters of the Order of the Holy Martyr Josaphat.
- Novoznesenskaya, 23 - Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary - Lady of Ukraine ( UGCC ). Built in 1925 as a Roman Catholic church , was partially destroyed during World War II ).
- Staroznesenskaya, № 23 - Church of the Ascension of the Lord ( UGCC ), acted as an Orthodox in the Soviet period.
- Ratica, 37 - Church of the Transfiguration. Before World War II, Znesnya’s Ukrainians built a Uniate chapel on this site, which was closed in 1960 . In the early 1990s, it was rebuilt and in August 1993 was consecrated as the temple of the Transfiguration of God ( UAOC ).
- Bogdan Khmelnitsky , 116. Former factory of vodka and liqueur Y. Bachevsky on Zholkovskaya slingshot, housed in the old palace Cecetskys; founded in 1782. The frescoes and marble of the ancient palace were not preserved. In 1908 , architect Vladislav Sadlovsky rebuilt the Bachevsky factory.
