Professional career

At the professional ring, Chakhkiev made his debut in November 2009 in a heavy weight category.

January 28, 2012 Chakhkiev won on points compatriot Alexander Kotlobaya and won the Baltic title according to the WBC version. In the next battle, he defended his title against American Jaded Cartington (20-2). In May 2012, he knocked out American jorniman Zach Page .

Champion fight with Krzysztof Wlodarczyk

After the victory over Andres Taylor, Chakhkiev won the right to a championship fight according to the WBC version with the reigning champion Krzysztof Wlodarczyk. The fight took place as the main event of boxing evening in Moscow on June 21, 2013.

Chakhkiev began the fight in his characteristic manner - with sharp multi-hit attacks with a large number of power strikes. This allowed him to seize the advantage and win the first four rounds with a score of 40-35, 40-34, 40-35 (in round 3, Wlodarczyk was knocked down). However, as early as the 6th round Vlodarczyk seized the initiative and managed to send Chakhkiev in a knockdown with a short left hook after the clinch. After that, Chakhkiev began to combine less, possibly due to accumulated fatigue, and increasingly miss counterattacks. Another almost identical left hook again sent Chakhkiev in a knockdown in the 7th round. In the 8th round, the initiative was completely on the side of the reigning champion, and after two consecutive knockdowns after Wlodarczyk's exact counter-breaks, Chakhkiev refused to continue the fight.

Fight with Anthony Wright

Fight with Ola Afolabi

Fight with Maxim Vlasov

On December 3, 2016, he knocked out in the 7th round of Rakhim Chakiyev in a very spectacular duel. Already in the 1st round, Chakhkiev was repeatedly shocked. In the 2nd round, Rahim was knocked down after a short punch to the right. After that, he could go a few more times to the floor of the ring, but miraculously kept his feet after the shocks. Everything could have ended already in the sixth minute of the battle, in the second round on the broadcast screen the time of the round was erroneously indicated, according to which Vlasov had 15 seconds left at the end of the round, in fact the round lasted for 3 minutes. Vlasov completely controlled the meeting. In the 3rd and 4th rounds, Maxim took a pause and let the opponent work. At the end of the relatively quiet 5th round, the Samyrets once again sent the opponent to the knockdown: he got straight to the right by the right side. In the middle of the 6th round, Chakhkiev revealed a miracle, unexpectedly knocking over the favorite on the floor of the ring with a powerful blow to the liver. A few seconds later, Maxim indulged himself with the exhausted offender, once again sending him to the knockdown by poking right. Awesome round. At the beginning of the 7th three-minute Vlasov knocked out Chakkhiev in a series of punches from both hands.
