Ship History
The boat was laid down on December 26, 1935 at the factory number 189 . In 1936, in the form of separate sections, it was transported to the Far East; it was assembled at the Dalzavod factory No. 202. May 25, 1938 launched. In June, it was planned to name the boat "Gorkovets", the naming did not take place. November 4, 1939 went into operation.
- August 23, 1945 torpedoed and sunk the Japanese transport Tetsugo Maru ( 1,403 gig).
- August 24 sunk. The exact reason is unknown, presumably the boat died on a bottom mine or as a result of a Japanese aircraft raid. L-19 was the last Soviet submarine that died in World War II.
