History

Formed 04/10/1943 by transforming the 110th Infantry Division .

In the army from 04/10/1943 to 04/22/1944 and from 05/28/1944 - 09/09/1945.

Since 04/25/1943 - in the rear on vacation and replenishment. From 05/13/1943, again at the forefront, in the second echelon.

In July-August 1943 (from July 12, 1943, initially in the second echelon) she participated in the Oryol strategic offensive operation , on August 15, 1943, she liberated Karachev . In September-October 1943 she participated in the Bryansk offensive operation , in October-December 1943 in the Nevelsk-Gorodok offensive operation . Participates in fierce battles, suffers heavy losses, March 22, 1944 was withdrawn to the rear for replenishment.

Since June 1944, he has been participating in the Belarusian strategic offensive operation , as part of which he has been fighting in the Vitebsk-Orsha offensive operation and the Minsk offensive operation . She participated in the liberation of the cities of Orsha , Molodechno , successfully crosses the Neman , liberates Alytus . Since July 1944, participates in the Vilnius offensive operation .

07/27/1944 assigned to the rear, to 07/31/1944 again in the army. In July-August 1944 he participated in the Kaunas offensive operation , on October 16, 1944 crossed the border of East Prussia , and in October 1944 he participated in the Gumbinnen-Goldap offensive operation .

In 1945 he participated in the Insterburg-Königsberg offensive operation , took part in the assault on Königsberg , the capture of Pillau, and completed hostilities on the Baltic Spit

Post-war time

From May 1945 until its dissolution, the division was part of the 36th Guards Rifle Corps of the 11th Guards Army.
In the period from 1945 to 1946. the division was disbanded.
