Feature
The station was opened on November 6, 1967 as part of the first stage of Icheri Sheher - Nariman Narimanov. The entire station is dressed in scarlet color, personifying the cumulus flags of the revolution, which are, as it were, lowered in memory of the feat of 26 Baku commissars . The station pylons are covered with a mosaic made of an alloy of crystal glass with metals, giving a rich gamut of shades. This smalt is a beautiful and rare finishing material. The recipe for smalt was developed by M.V. Lomonosov . The hall lighting is spotlight . The fluorescent lamps hidden behind the corrugated ledge shine with a soft light reflected from the white dome. On the end wall, opposite the entrance, there is a bas-relief depicting the sun setting over the blue wavy sea. Earlier there was a bas-relief depicting 26 Baku commissars.
