Nikolay Nikitich Nikonov ( April 8, 1849, Onofrevo village, Poshekhonsky district , Yaroslavl province - 1918 , Samara ) - one of the famous architects of St. Petersburg in the late XIX - early XX century, worked a lot and fruitfully, especially in the field of church architecture.

Biography
Born on April 8, 1849, into a peasant family in the village of Onofrevo, Poshekhonsky district, Yaroslavl province .
In October 1872 he was accepted as a volunteer at the Academy of Arts . In 1881, he was expelled from her for irregular attendance of classes.
On March 10, 1890, according to the report of the synodal prosecutor N. N. Nikonov, the sovereign was granted the rank of a collegiate registrar by the Emperor.
On April 19, he was appointed to the service of the Department of Orthodox Confession with the office of Ober-Procurator of the Holy Synod in excess of the state.
September 11 was sent to Poltava to inspect the church on the battlefield of Poltava and the monument at the Swedish grave.
April 19, 1893 was made for long service in the provincial secretaries with seniority.
On October 21, 1893, he was appointed Diocesan Architect.
May 14, 1896 was awarded the Order of St. Stanislav 3rd degree. August 25 promoted to college secretaries . In the same year, he was accepted into life members of the St. Petersburg Diocesan Brotherhood.
April 19 was granted the title of titular adviser for long service.
August 24, 1899, petitioning for the award of the architect N. N. Nikonov with the 3rd degree Order of St. Anne for the design and construction of a stone three-altar church in the courtyard of the Zadne-Nikiforovsky desert in St. Petersburg.
On April 12, 1902, N. N. Nikonov was promoted to seniority collegiate assessor with seniority for years of service.
On November 17, 1906, architect N. N. Nikonov was dismissed by his petition from the position of the St. Petersburg Diocesan Architect.
In 1910, the Church of Our Lady of Kazan was built according to the project of N. N. Nikonov in Terioki . It is a monument to the cultural and historical heritage of the Kurortny district of St. Petersburg .
He died in 1918 in Samara, where he lived and worked for a long time.
