Club career

Henk Grott began his football career in his hometown of Zandeyk in the Zandeyk club of the same name. Henk later moved to the Stormvogels semi-professional club, where he played with his brother Kes Grot , who was six years older than him.

In 1959, Henk and his brother moved to the Ajax Amsterdam . Henk's debut took place in a match against Nek , ending 3-0 in favor of Ajax.
