Biography
Club career
Henk Grott began his football career in his hometown of Zandeyk in the Zandeyk club of the same name. Henk later moved to the Stormvogels semi-professional club, where he played with his brother Kes Grot , who was six years older than him.
In 1959, Henk and his brother moved to the Ajax Amsterdam . Henk's debut took place in a match against Nek , ending 3-0 in favor of Ajax. In his first season for Ajax, Henk became the Dutch champion and top scorer of the championship, scoring 38 goals in 33 matches in the 1959/1960 season, 9 more than his older brother, who finished third in the championship scorers list, scored The Netherlands.
