Physico-chemical analysis - a set of methods for analyzing physico-chemical systems by constructing and geometric analysis of state diagrams and composition-property diagrams . This method allows you to detect the existence of compounds (for example, copper copper CuAu), the existence of which cannot be confirmed by other methods of analysis. Initially, studies in the field of physicochemical analysis focused on the study of the dependence of the temperature of phase transitions on the composition. However, at the turn of the XIX – XX centuries N. S. Kurnakov showed that any physical property of the system is a function of composition, and to study the phase state, one can use conductivity , viscosity , surface tension , heat capacity , refractive index , elasticity and other physical properties [1] .
The theory of physico-chemical analysis is based on the principles of correspondence and continuity formulated by N. S. Kurnakov. The principle of continuity states that if new phases do not form in the system or existing ones do not disappear, then with a continuous change in the parameters of the system, the properties of the individual phases and the properties of the system as a whole change continuously. The correspondence principle states that each complex of phases corresponds to a certain geometric image on the composition-property diagram .
