Alexander Sergeevich Uspensky (born April 25, 1987 in Moscow ) is a Russian figure skater who performed in singles . Two-time champion of Russia among juniors (2005 and 2006).

Career
In 2005, Alexander was 14th at the World Junior Championships after a short program, but was forced to abandon the continuation of the fight due to illness. The following year, at the same tournament , he became 8th. The championships of Russia among juniors in both 2005 and 2006, Alexander won.
In the 2008-2009 season he was announced as a participant in the Grand Prix series. At the stage, “Skate America” became 6th, and at the Cup of Russia only 10th. Alexander could not take part in the 2009 Russian championship due to an injury and, thus, this season was over for him. At the next national championship, he was able to become only 15th and ended his career.

Post-Sport Career
At the end of his sports career, Alexander Uspensky works as a choreographer. Among his students are Anna Pogorilaya and Alexander Samarin [2] .
