EBoy

eBoy is a pixel art studio founded in 1997 by German designers Steffen Sauerteig, Svend Smital, and Kai Vermehr [1] .

Content

History

The studio was founded on May 2, 1997. Of the entire company, only Kai had an Apple II / C64 computer and a Nintendo game console. Steffen and Svend grew up in East Germany and became acquainted with digital technology, already becoming adults. A few years after the founding of eBoy, an American Peter Stemmler joined the team. Their activities were influenced by pop culture, trade, supermarkets, television, toys, LEGO , computer games, magazines.

Activities

The studio is working on creating pixel graphics for the Internet, books, magazines, for placement on T-shirts, snowboards and even sneakers. One of the directions of their work is the creation of isometric pixel images of cars, buildings, people, which unite in entire cities. Among their works are posters of Berlin, London, New York and Tokyo.

In 2002, the studio released the book Eboy (Eboy Electronic Graphics). In 2007, she worked on the cover art for the Groove Armada album. Her clients include Adidas , Adobe , Amazon , Coca-Cola , DaimlerChrysler , Honda , Microsoft , MTV , Nestle, and Nike [1] .
