In the middle of the XVI century, the ancestor Joachim Derfelden moved to the Baltic region [1] . One of his descendants - Wilhelm Derfelden - served with distinction under the command of Suvorov .
This genus was included in the matriculi of the Livonia and Estland nobility and in Part II of the genealogical book of the Kharkov province .
