History
At the beginning of the XVIII century, the village belonged to Mikhail Matveev Eropkin. In 1707, M. M. Eropkin built a church here in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.
In 1765, a new wooden church was begun in honor of the same saint, but during the construction itself it burned down. After the fire, the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God was found intact. In honor of this icon, the church was built, which was built in 1768 on the site of the burned one.
In 1848, a stone temple was built. There are two thrones in it: in the cold in honor of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God, in a warm meal in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker [2] .
In the village of Polovetsky there was a literacy school.
