Eduard Salmanovich Kulpin-Gubaidullin ( 1939 - 2015 ) - Soviet and Russian philosopher , historian , orientalist , founder of the school of socio-natural history (SEI). Known for his research on seven-generation socio-demographic macrocycles [1] .

Biography
Born in 1939 in Baku .
Candidate of Economic Sciences , Doctor of Philosophy , Professor , Chief Researcher, Institute of Oriental Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences , Head of the Department of History, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology , organizer of the annual (since 1992) international conference “Man and Nature. Problems of social history ”. Publisher of a series of scientific and methodological works “The Genesis of Nature and Society Crises in Russia”, which contains the results of scientific research carried out by the Center for Social Studies of the Academy of Urban Environment and the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Since 2005 - chief editor of the journal " History and Modernity " [2] .
