Meteor Craters

At present, eight impact craters are discovered in Ukraine, resulting from the fall of space bodies. All craters, with the exception of Ilyinetsky, are buried, that is, hidden beneath the thickness of sedimentary rocks, and were established and studied from core cores.

  • Ilyinetsky crater (Vinnytsia region) - diameter 300 m, age - 400 million years
