Description

The only difference between the Picatinny rail (standard MIL-STD-1913, 1995) and the Weaver rail is the size of the slots, although many of the accessories installed with the Weaver rail can be used on any type of Picatinny rail.

The Weaver strap has a slot width of 0.18 inches (about 4.57 mm), but they are not always equally spaced from each other.

The Picatinny rail has a slot width of 0.206 inches (about 5.23 mm) and a spacing of 0.394 inches (about 10 mm) between them. [1] Because of this, devices installed on the Weaver rail will also be easy to install on the Picatinny rail, but devices designed to be mounted on the Picatinny rail cannot always be mounted on the Weaver rail.
