Voronezh Oak Grove ( English Park ) is one of the first parks in the city of Lipetsk . In 1934 - 1964, it was cut down.
The park was created in 1807 - after laying the Lower Park in 1805 . A place was allocated for him on the outskirts of Lipetsk (now between the streets of Sovetskaya , Kraini , March 8 and Gorky ).
1200 oaks grew in the park, so it was called the Voronezh Oak Grove.
At the end of the 19th century, the park began to be partially built up with private houses with facades on the main avenue. So Gulbischenskaya Street (now Pushkin Street ) arose.
In 1934, a mechanical plant (later Machine Tool ) was laid in the park. A significant part of the trees is cut down. Partially a grove existed until 1964 ; there were hares in it. Then, in 1964, private houses were demolished on Sovetskaya Street - in connection with the construction of new workshops of the Machine Tool Plant. According to some reports, to date, about three oaks have remained from the park.
