Location
The city is located 61 km south of the administrative center of the region of Valdivia and 12 km southeast of the administrative center of the province of La Union on the south bank of the Rio Bueno .

- in the southeast - with the commune of Lago Ranko
- in the south - with the commune of Pueue
- in the west - with the communes of San Pablo
