History
The first bus appeared in the city of Novosibirsk in 1923. The City Council's Public Utilities Department converted two White trucks, installing seats (12 units each) on them, and released them on the first route in the city. The first buses ran between the station, the central part of the city and the Zakamenka district (in the area of the current SPSL).
In 1925, there were already 13 buses in the city (3 state and 10 private). Buses were not heated and worked until the winter.
In the late 1920s, the City Council decided to form a mixed public-private bus society. At the same time, the first Soviet-made buses AMO-F-15 appeared in the city.
By 1937, the city had 30 buses operating on four routes. The slow development was due to the presence of the tram and the poor condition of the roads. After the start of the asphalting of roads, the number of routes increased threefold.
After the construction of the Communal (Oktyabrsky) bridge in 1955, routes across the Ob were launched, new buses appeared that were adapted to winter conditions. By the 70s, the existing bus routes were mainly formed, a network of depots was built to carry out maintenance of the expanded bus fleet.
The 90s were a difficult test for public transport in Novosibirsk. Chronically inadequate funding and, as a result, logistical difficulties led to the fact that the city council (which had by then become a municipality) decided to transfer part of the vehicles to private hands, and also allowed the creation of private enterprises-trucking companies. This made it possible to more or less preserve the city’s transport fleet, although other problems arose - control over the observance by private traders of the schedule, compensation for the passage of numerous beneficiaries. Since 1996, inventory numbers from 1100 to 101199 are applied to buses, depending on the PATP number.
For 2017, most of the city's bus fleet is made up of Russian, Chinese and Korean buses. Compared with 1991, the number of suburban routes has increased: due to extension (138) or renumbering from municipal routes (139, 141, 170, 280). On many suburban routes (112, 139, 170, 189, 227, 311, 399), most of the traffic is carried out within the city.
Rolling stock
MAZ buses are used on the lines of municipal routes. Until 2015, PAZ buses were also used, and gas NefAZs have now begun to operate.
Commercial routes are serviced by large-capacity buses of domestic ( LiAZ-5256 , NeFAZ, MARZ-5277), Chinese ( Mudan , Zhong Tong ) and Korean production. Buses of the Pavlovsk PAZ plant are also widely used. They, in particular, represent most of the rolling stock on suburban routes.
Passenger transport enterprises
Municipal
MCP PATP-4
MKPPPP-4 - the only municipal municipal transport station preserved in the city is located in the KSM microdistrict of the Pervomaisky district. In September 2016, it included the KTO INC, operating on municipal routes of the Sovetsky District.
Currently works on the municipal bus routes of Pervomaisky and Sovetsky district (not all): No. 7.20, 21.23.36.45, 50, 51l, 54, 65.68, 69.72.77.88,716,717,717e. Many of the currently operating commercial routes (8, 48, 52, 52K, 117, 138, 139, 170) were previously served by this company or the included ITUC KTO.
Rolling stock consists mainly of MAZs. In addition, PATP-4 includes a bus convoy providing intercity transportation. The main models of intercity buses are the Korean Hyundai and the Russian MARZ.
Until 2009, the Novosibirsk Bus Station, now transferred to the Avtoservis group of companies, was the structural unit of the MCP PATP-4
Previous routes: 2,8,16,38,50,116,117,139,170,716d, 718.
MUP PATP-5
An enterprise that does not have its own rolling stock and engages rolling stock owned by other individuals or legal entities for work on routes.
It works on taxi routes 2, 14, 16, 29, 29A, 44, 44A, 45, 63.
Municipal carriers in the Novosibirsk region
Route 130 is served, inter alia, by the Moshkovskoye ATP municipal enterprise, and bus route 224 is served by the Municipal Unitary Enterprise Kolyvan ATP

Among the commercial carriers, the largest are the Novosibirskprofstroy group of companies, Bel-Mars LLC, IP Kalashnikov, IP Kobenko.
Routes
History
From the 90s of the XX century to 2013, all municipal, commercial buses and fixed-route taxis of Novosibirsk had a single range of route numbers from 2 to 1999 and this made Novosibirsk the only city in Russia where four-digit numbering of public transport routes was used.
Such an unusual numbering, the city was obliged to the phenomenon of commercial transport at the end of the XX century. Commercial bus and minibus flights did not receive subsidies from the city budget, which means that they did not carry out free transportation of numerous beneficiaries. To distinguish commercial flights from “state” ones, it was decided to add a number to their route numbers. “Commercial” duplicates of municipal routes were assigned numbers ending in the same numbers as the routes they duplicated. But then the numbers of commercial routes would become similar to three-digit suburban, so the numbers became four-digit, where the first digit (always 1) indicated commercial affiliation, the second should indicate a suburban route or city, the latter would indicate the direction. But with the further development of commercial vehicles, a fashion for “beautiful” numbers appeared, for example 1111 or 1999, which finally led to the confusion of purely urban and suburban routes.
Over time, the non-cash payment system using BSK has spread, including on commercial vehicles and the city hall, and it has become possible to pay commercial carriers for privileges. Thus, the difference between a commercial carrier and a municipal one has disappeared, and the need to “differ” has disappeared.
Current status
Since April 2013, the mayor's office decided to abandon the four-digit numbering and eliminate duplication of routes. As you bid on new routes, new ones are registered - by leaving the last significant digits, when coinciding with existing ones, a completely new number should be assigned. Despite this, the route No. 1250 still exists in the left-bank part of the city.
In addition, the route network of the suburban zone is brought in accordance with the legislation. Bus routes No. 39, 41, 47 and 70, which for a long time were considered municipal, received the status of suburban and were transferred to the Ministry of Transport and Roads of the Novosibirsk Region.
Currently, the routes are numbered as follows:
- 1–98: bus routes subordinate to the city hall, in which both end points are located within the city, including those in which a significant part of the route passes through the territory of the Novosibirsk region (27, 42, 45, 46, 53, 88). Bus 64 has one of the last in the Novosibirsk region.
- 101–280, 510, 519, 520, 565, 566: suburban buses with one end in Novosibirsk and the other in a suburban area, or in two suburban areas, transit via Novosibirsk (115, 117, 124, 212). Bus 115В crosses the border of Novosibirsk and the Novosibirsk region three times.
- 301–399: suburban shuttles. At that, minibus taxi 353 actually has both final stops within the city limits.
- 501-599: intercity bus routes (except for suburban 510, 519, 520, 565 and 566).
- 603–611: PATP-4 on-duty buses.
- 716, 716d, 717, 717e, 718, 1170, 1702, 1703, 1704, 1705 - country buses.
Routing Network
The existing route network of the city is a legacy of the period when the passenger transportation market began to emerge in the 90s. During this period, a large number of commercial bus routes appeared, many of which were served by trolleybus and tram depots or municipal PATPs. Often, commercial routes were duplicates of municipal ones, and commercial organizations were also opened by commercial organizations - the Gusinobrodsky clothing market, the trading city "Levoberezhny", Dimitrovsky market. Similar routes work now, but, as a rule, they do not have numbers and are not included in the Register (except routes No. 49 and 91). Most of the routes serving the Gusinobrodsky market are currently closed or redirected, mainly to the Plyushchikhinsky housing estate.
The city has a large number of bus routes running through the entire city (6, 13, 14, 28, 39, 41, 64, 79, 96), which is not typical for a city with a population of more than a million people, all the more so that it has a metro.
With a relatively large number of routes, from some parts of the city (Water intake, the village of Geologists), it is impossible to get directly to even the nearest metro station. In other cases, the metro station can only be reached by shuttle bus, where there are no benefits (including transportation by card). These are the microdistricts Shch , Nizhny Yeltsovka and others.
Duplication of municipal public transport in Novosibirsk with private bus routes
The competition between municipal and commercial transport has led to an increase in the degree of duplication of routes between each other. Duplication can be considered in a positive way - the reliability of transport services is increased, the passenger is provided with an alternative: fast and comfortable commercial or less convenient, but cheap "social" transport. But duplication also reduces the economic efficiency of using each unit of transport, leads to inappropriate competition for passengers directly on the road (downtime at stops waiting for passengers, overtaking). An uncritical attitude towards duplication created a situation where even buses and fixed-route taxis belonging to different carriers duplicate each other. For example, bus route 64 fully includes bus route 34, and bus routes No. 20 and 54 fully include bus route No. 69.
Subway Duplication
The subway is designed to relieve stress from the central streets, so following the route of land transport, especially a bus or minibus following the line of the subway eliminates the positive effect of off-street transport, creating unnecessary competition for it, reducing the efficiency of using rolling stock.
The list includes routes that have transfers at the metro station, located in a row with other possibilities for organizing routes.
5 the bus follows along all six stations of the Lenin line on the right bank, after which it leaves for the left bank;

- 114 bus and 314 minibuses. In the city, their final stops are separated only by the Mega STC building, and in the village of Marusino, a fixed-route taxi goes 1 stop further. In addition, from the Energetikov Square to the Mekkolonna, these two routes follow separately.
- 124 bus and 324 minibus taxi. Residents of the city of Ob can instead of Karl Marx Square go to the village of Krasnoobsk.
- 153 buses and 353 minibuses. Both routes follow from Zaeltsovskaya metro to Sadovy, but 153 buses have a final stop in the village, and 353 minibuses have a final stop further - Olympiika Garden Society
Use of rolling stock that does not match route status
Since 2017, routes began to appear in the city that are officially listed as bus and are displayed on maps, directories and information boards, but are served by small buses, which makes them look like minibuses (25, 27, 38, 73, 130, 203). Accordingly, there are reverse cases - large-capacity buses operate in the directions of fixed-route taxis (17, 340, 350, 364).
Bus and taxi routes with the same numbers have matching stops or sections, but serve different directions
- 4 bus and minibus start together in the Zatulinsky housing estate, after crossing the street Nemirovich-Danchenko disperse in different directions. The bus goes through the entire left bank to the Krivodanovsky quarry, a fixed-route taxi goes to the right bank to the Novosibirsk-main station
- 8 a bus connects Akademgorodok with the city center, a fixed-route taxi goes from the Oktyabrsky district through the center of the left bank to the village. Northern. Match from ost. Station-Main to the stop. House of Lenin.
- 10 - serve different directions of the left bank. At the bus stop Marx can easily be mistaken when landing in two directions at once.
- 12 bus and minibus coincide on a small section of Titova street. Once on a minibus instead of a bus, a passenger can go to the right bank instead of the Marx Square metro station.
- 13 - coincide in a short section in the center. If a passenger, leaving the metro station "Krasny prospekt" or "Gagarinskaya", takes a minibus instead of a bus heading north, then she will take him instead of the Snegiri microdistrict to the industrial zone of the Kalinin district.
- 20 bus and minibus coincide from the Bugrinsky bridge to the intersection of Berdsky highway and Odoevsky street. Having made a mistake in transport, you can leave for Pervomaisky district instead of Akademgorodok or get on the Rechnoy Vokzal metro station instead of the Marx square metro
- 28 bus and minibus serve different areas, but have three common stops in the Zaeltsovskaya metro area.
- 29 bus and minibus coincide from Stanislavsky Square to the intersection of Bronnaya and Alexander Chistyakov streets.
- 30 bus and minibus serve different, but closely located areas, coincide at three stops in the Zaeltsovskaya metro area
- 34 bus and minibus coincide most of the route: from the final stop "Station Novosibirsk Glavniy" to the intersection of Krause and Zemnukhov streets. A passenger waiting on Myasnikova Street for a bus in the direction of the railway station may mistakenly take a minibus and leave in the direction of the Northern Corona residential complex.
- 52 bus and fixed-route taxi coincide most of the route, within Akademgorodok follow different streets, also the route of fixed-route taxi 52 does not provide traffic on Sadovoy proezd, while this route and bus stops located on bus route No. 52
- 64 bus and minibus, serve nearby areas, in the center of the city follow separately, coincide for the first time at three stops in the area of st. Teacher’s, the second time - at Stanislavsky and South-West lived / m
- 73 the bus operates only in the Pashino microdistrict, which is territorially separated from the main part of the city, circling its marginal streets, a fixed-route taxi connects it with the main part of the city. Coincide along the streets of Novouralskaya, Chekalin and Trunk.
The usual number of a long-existing route is transmitted to the newly created route in another part of the city.
- Route 139 "Tsvetnoy proezd - SSCVB Vector" for a long time was number 39. Now number 39 is assigned to the bus with the former number 1239.
- Route No. 141 "Tsvetnoy proezd - Krasnoobsk" for a long time was numbered 41. Now number 41 is assigned to the bus with the former number 1141.
- Route No. 147 "Metro Zaeltsovskaya - Mochishche Rest House" was for a long time number 47. Now number 47 is assigned to the new bus route from Tvardovsky street to Tsvetnoy proezd.
- Route 280, Tsvetnoy proezd - Kainskaya Zaimka, for a long time was numbered 28. Now number 28 is assigned to the bus with the former number 1038.
- Route number 138 "Public shopping center (Demakova street) - Izdrevaya station" for a long time wore 38. Now number 38 is assigned to a new bus route from ZhK Novomarusino to house 2 on ul. Comintern.
These coincidences can be attributed to the transition period, and with sufficient flexibility for carriers, these, as well as simple coincidences of bus numbers and minibuses operating in different areas, can be easily fixed, for which there are the following resources:
- At least two dozen free double-digit numbers for city buses.
- The use of single and double-digit numbers for long trunk routes connecting the districts with each other and with metro lines, and three-digit numbers for short intra-district, garden and inter-municipal bus routes and fixed-route taxis. In particular, some fixed-route taxis have already chosen their number in the fourth hundred (300-399). There are no coincident taxi and bus numbers in this range, but some minibuses with the first number 3 duplicate similar buses with the first number 1 (for example, 120 bus and 320 minibus, 138 bus and 338 minibus, 139 bus and 339 minibus).
Route network branching
Novosibirsk has a fairly extensive route network. At first glance, this circumstance is a plus, but in practice it complicates the use of passenger transport.
Different stopping points for boarding a vehicle following one direction
- Buses 1 and 112 follow the metro stop Marx Square, and other vehicles that follow Stantsionnaya street (buses 4, 24, 114, 120, 220) go through the Crystal Shop stop.
- Bus 16 goes through the metro stop Marx Square, and other vehicles following Bolshaya (buses 19 and 89) go through the Crystal Shop stop
- Bus 114 passes through the Kristall Crystal and Pokryshkina stops, and other vehicles in the STC Mega direction (buses 29, 57, 112) go through the Metro Ploshchad Marx and GUM stops.
- Buses 27 and 42, heading towards the village of Pashino, follow the stops "Ploshchad Kalinina", 53 also follow the stops Pashina - through the stop "Metro Zaeltsovskaya".
Transport in the direction of one stop follows on opposite sides of the street
- Buses 9 and 29 have a common final “South-West railway” and together follow the stops “Komsomolskaya”, “Severo-Chemskaya railway”, “Puteprovod”, “Prokopyevskaya”. However, to board the 9th bus toward the South-West Railway, you should use the stops on the odd side of Komsomolskaya and Bronnaya Streets, and at 29 on the odd.
- Buses 31 and 75 have a common terminal "Kluch-Kamyshenskoe plateau" and, among others, a common stop "Nikitina" on the street. Kirov. However, 31 buses go through this stop only when driving in the direction of the Kluch-Kamyshenskoe plateau final stop, and 75 only from it.
- Buses 6 and 60 have a common terminal "Field" and, among others, a common stop "Metro Ploschad Marx" (opposite the exit from the shopping center "Versailles"). However, through this stop, bus 6 travels to the Polevaya stop, and 60 goes from it.
- Buses 7, 47, 72, 139 have common stops "Pharmacy No. 68", "House of Life", "GPTU-55", "Shop No. 12" and together follow the stop "Tsvetnoy proezd". However, for boarding at 7, 72 and 139, the bus in the direction of Tsvetnoy Proezd should use the stops on the odd side of ul. Heroes of Labor and the even side of the street. Russian, and on bus 47 - stops on opposite sides of these streets.
- Buses 43 and 55 have several common stops in the Chistaya Sloboda microdistrict (including the terminal of the same name), as well as a general stop on ul. Stanislavsky ("Pl. Labor", "PKiO Kirov", "Monument of Glory", "Pl. Stanislavsky"). However, to board the 43 bus in the direction of the specified microdistrict, you should use the stops on the odd side of ul. Stanislavsky, and at 55 - on the odd one. A similar phenomenon can be observed on the streets of Parkhomenko and Fasadnaya. 55 bus on the indicated streets should only go towards the final "Microdistrict Chistaya Sloboda", 43 - only in the opposite direction.
Development Prospects
Currently, the transport policy of the Department of Transport of the City Hall provides for a decrease in the number and volume of fixed-route taxis in favor of buses. To do this, new bus routes are introduced, often duplicating minibuses. For example, at the end of 2015 - the beginning of 2016, route 75 was introduced (as a take of a 45 route taxi).
In 2015, gas-powered buses were purchased in municipal parks. However, the city lacks sufficient infrastructure to service them.
Suburban and interurban services
The existing bus station at the beginning of Krasny Prospekt is located in the geographical center of the city and does not meet the modern needs of passengers due to the loss of time when leaving the city; in addition, the reconstruction begun in 2006 was never completed. At the exits from the city, it is planned to build new bus stations. At the moment, bus stations have been organized on the streets of Kubova, Nikitin, Stanislavsky, Tolmachevsky and Vostochnoye Shosse, Garina-Mikhailovsky Square, which accept passing flights and sell tickets. Schedules of suburban and city buses passing nearby were posted at bus stations, waiting rooms were organized in weatherproof rooms - separate pavilions or in halls of shopping centers. In addition, they serve as the final stops of city buses, where drivers can relax, and passengers can comfortably wait for their bus.
