Vostochnobortovaya oil and gas region (East Emba, Kenkiyak-Zhanazhol, Zharkamys-Temir) is an oil and gas region , located in the south-west of Aktobe region of Kazakhstan , in the middle and lower reaches of the Emba river.
One of the oil and gas regions of the Caspian oil and gas province . The depth of occurrence varies widely from 200 to 6500 m. The age of this region is Paleozoic.
Before the discovery of the Zhanazhol field, the Eastboard oil and gas region was part of the Emba oil and gas region, and in the 90s it became an independent region.
The resources of this region range from 0.8 to 2 billion tons of oil and from 0.5 to 1.5 trillion m3 of gas.
