The original name is Lenin Spark.
In mid-April 1962, the Gryazinsky regional newspaper Leninskaya Iskra and the Dobrin Leninsky Way ceased to exist. On April 20, the new inter-district newspaper Zarya Kommunizma began to appear.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR of January 11, 1965, the liquidated Gryazinsky district was restored. The revived "Lenin Spark" reappeared on April 16, 1965.
Since January 4, 1992, the newspaper began to appear under the heading "Gryazinsky Izvestia" as a regional socio-political newspaper.
The founder of the newspaper is the administration of the Gryazinsky district, so the publication reflects its point of view. In addition to political materials, the Gryazinsky Izvestia publishes readers' notes.
It comes out three times a week: on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Authorized newspaper
In 2001, Zoya Chernyshova, editor-in-chief of the newspaper, was suspended for criticism from the head of the district administration [1] . On July 11, 2001, the issue of Gryazinsky Izvestia did not appear; the management of the publishing house then referred to instructions from above [2] .
