By 1678, the village of Alfer'evo belonged to the solicitor Tit Konstantinov Nepostavov.

The Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker existed here already in 1628. In 1709, a new church of the same name was built. In 1772, the second church in the name of the Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary, also wooden, was built by the zeal of Vasily Stepanov Kartsov’s fiancé

In 1814, a stone temple was built in their place. There are three thrones in it: in the cold in the name of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos ; in the aisles warm in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and St. Demetrius of Rostov . The church houses a priest and a psalm-reader. [3]
