Laha ( Spanish: Laja ) is a city in Chile . The administrative center of the commune is the city of La Laha . The population is 16,288 people ( 2002 ). The city and the commune are part of the Bio-Bio province and the Bio-Bio region .

Location
The city of La Laha is located 60 km south-east of the administrative center of the region - the city of Concepcion and 37 km north-west of the administrative center of the province - the city of Los Angeles .

According to information collected during the census by the National Institute of Statistics, the population of the commune is 21,613 people, of which 10,642 are men and 10,971 are women.
The population of the commune is 1.09% of the total population of the Bio-Bio region . 30.77% belong to the rural population and 69.23% to the urban population.
