Two-year-old donkey , Two-year- old Enotere, or Flight [1] ( lat. Oenothéra biénnis ) is a two-year-old plant in the Cypriot family, originally from North America . In gardening, varieties of hybrid origin are bred.

Biological Description
Biennial. In the first year, it gives a rosette of leaves adjacent to the soil , in the second - a stem bearing an inflorescence - a brush.
The basal leaves are elliptical, with a base tapering to the petiole , whole-edged, spiky; stem leaves are almost sessile, broadly lanceolate, with a fine-toothed margin.
Lemon-yellow flowers , petals up to 2 cm long, with a notch. The oslinik blooms from June to September; it begins to bear fruit from the end of July.
Distribution
The natural habitat is North America . It was introduced to Europe in the XVII century , and then spread further east. Now it grows wild in the middle zone of Russia , as well as in the Ciscaucasia and the Far East .
Prefers slightly moistened habitats. So, it can be found on sandy deposits along the banks of rivers, in floodplains. It is also a ruderal plant - it grows along roadsides, embankments, in weedy places.
Economic value
In floriculture, the seedling has spread as a flowering plant. Under the name of evening primrose, hybrid varieties of aspen are bred.
