Biography
Pupil of the Moscow Sports School "Dynamo" (first coach - Mikhail Bratchenya). In 1990 he was credited to the double “Dynamo” (Minsk) , in two years he scored 1 goal.
Since 1992 he played in the first team of Dynamo (Minsk). In 1992-1996, 2005-2007 he played 106 games, scored 20 goals.

- Dynamo (Kiev) (1996-2003, 135 games, 26 goals)
- Tianjin Teda ( China ) (2004)
- Venta ( Latvia ) (2005)
In the national team of Belarus (1993-2005) held 38 games, scored 4 goals.
He began his coaching career in Dynamo Minsk after the dismissal of Peter Kachuro in 2007. He was a playing coach. Left the team the same year. ABFF appointed the head coach of the youth team of Belarus.
Since July 2008, coach of FC Vitebsk .
From February 2010 to 2011 - assistant head coach of the Ukrainian team .
From 2010 to 2014, he headed the Dynamo youth team (Kiev).
December 4, 2014 was appointed to the post of head coach of the national team of Belarus [2] . He was dismissed on December 6, 2016 after 4 matches in the qualifying tournament for the 2018 World Cup, in which the team tied with France, lost to Holland and Bulgaria and shared points with Luxembourg [3] .
On June 2, 2017, it was announced that Alexander Khatskevich was appointed head coach of Dynamo Kyiv [4] .
On August 14, 2019, Alexander Khatskevich and the entire coaching staff were dismissed after the third consecutive departure in the qualifications of the Champions League under Khatskevich [5] .
