Location
The village is located 18 km northeast of the administrative center of the region of Talca .
The commune borders:
- in the north - with the communes of Sagrada Familia , Molina
- in the east - with the commune of Rio Claro
- in the south - with the communes of Talca , Pelarko
- in the west - with Penkaue commune

According to information collected during the census by the National Institute of Statistics, the population of the commune is 8091 people, of which 4056 are men and 4035 are women.
