Sports venues
All competitions were held at the Olympic Green Exhibition Center .
Qualification
Each National Olympic Committee may submit up to three athletes for each type of weapon, if the team competitions are held, and two, if only the individual to him.
In team competitions, eight teams qualified for three people - four, according to the world ranking, and one best, not yet selected, team from every part of the world (Africa, Asia and Oceania, America, Europe). Fencers of these countries may also participate in similar individual competitions.
The single event selected athletes world ranking, rating for the individual parts of the world, and in accordance with continental qualifying championships. The Trilateral Commission could also provide eight additional seats for any discipline.
