San Clemente ( Spanish: San Clemente ) is a city in Chile . The administrative center of the eponymous commune . The population is 13,398 ( 2002 ). The city and commune is part of the province of Talca and the Maule region .

Location
The city is located 20 km southeast of the administrative center of the Talc region.
The commune borders:
- in the north - with the communes of Pelarco , Rio Claro
- in the northeast - with the commune of Molina
- in the east - with the provinces of Mendoza ( Argentina ), Neuquen ( Argentina )
- in the south - with the commune Kolbun
- in the west - with the communes of Maule , Talca
Demographics
According to information collected during the census by the National Institute of Statistics, the population of the commune is 38,666 people, of which 19,399 are men and 19,267 are women.
The population of the commune is 3.96% of the total population of the Maule region. 71.13% are rural and 28.87% are urban.
