San Clemente ( Spanish: San Clemente ) is a city in Chile . The administrative center of the eponymous commune . The population is 13,398 ( 2002 ). The city and commune is part of the province of Talca and the Maule region .

Location
The city is located 20 km southeast of the administrative center of the Talc region.
The commune borders:
- in the north - with the communes of Pelarco , Rio Claro
- in the northeast - with the commune of Molina
- in the east - with the provinces of Mendoza ( Argentina ), Neuquen ( Argentina )
- in the south - with the commune Kolbun
- in the west - with the communes of Maule , Talca

The population of the commune is 3.96% of the total population of the Maule region. 71.13% are rural and 28.87% are urban.
