Shiver (1982 film)

American writer Peter Neal arrives in Italy to advertise his new novel, Trembling. However, his arrival is overshadowed by murders, committing which a maniac shoves victims into the mouth of the page from the new book of Peter. The author is also exposed to threats from the killer. The police turn on the case and begin an investigation, however, due to the ineffectiveness of the police’s actions, Peter decides to independently determine the causes and identity of the offender.

• Most of the film was shot in new areas.
• When shooting the film, Argento used electric lighting with a ripple frequency of forty vibrations per second. Such a cinematic move, he said, “introduces a new sensation, very scary.” ^[2]
• The episodes in this film were directed by Michele Soavi , Lamberto Bava and Dario Argento himself
• Censorship cut out the darkest scenes from the film, such as cutting off a hand and putting a heel in his mouth.
