Career
He began his professional career in Ukraine. In 1998-1999 he played in St. Petersburg “ Zenith ”, in which he became the owner of the Cup of Russia 1999 .
Then he returned to Ukraine. As part of Kiev, Dynamo became the champion of Ukraine in the 1999/00 season . In 2000-2005 he played for Dnipro (Dnepropetrovsk), a bronze medalist of the 2000/01 and 2003/04 seasons. In 2005-2008 he played for Volyn . In the summer of 2008, he moved to the Kazakh Atyrau . In 2009, he played for Kazakhmys .
In March 2010 he moved to Odessa "Chernomorets" [1] . May 13, 2010 it became known that upon the expiration of the contract with FC Chernomorets (Odessa) received the status of a free agent [2] . In 2011, he again played for Volyn. The match of round 20 of the championship of Ukraine “Volyn” - “Illichivets” (0: 1) was the last in the player’s career, the 37-year-old Maksimyuk decided to end his career.
On January 12, 2017, the official website of FC Ternopol announced the appointment of Roman Maksimyuk as the head coach of the team, but a few days later information appeared that he had left the Ternopol club.
