Prussian lands in the 13th century
Pogezaniya ( German: Pogesanien , Polish. Pogezania , lit. Pagudė ) is a historical region in Prussia . One of the areas ( German gaue ), which divided the province of East Prussia before the reform of Frederick the Great . The name comes from the Prussian root pa-gudian , meaning "the area overgrown with shrubs."
Located between Pomezanie and Warmia , it includes lands located in the middle course of Pasleki , Sambrod , Paslek , Druzensky land , as well as an important trading center Truso . It is currently part of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship of Poland .
